What Is an MTN Data Plan?

An MTN data plan is a prepaid internet bundle that gives you a specified amount of mobile data for a particular validity period.

The available options can include daily, weekly and monthly bundles, as well as special plans for specific services or devices.

Because MTN can change prices, bundle sizes and eligibility, always confirm the current offer before completing a subscription.

What Is the MTN Data Plan Code?

MTN provides USSD options for purchasing data bundles.

Dial:

*312#

Follow the menu to select the data bundle you want.

You can also use the available MTN digital channels to browse current data offers.

What MTN Data Plans Are Available?

The exact options displayed can vary over time and may depend on your line or tariff plan.

Common categories include:

Daily data plans

These are designed for people who need data for a short period.

They can be useful when you only need internet access for a day instead of purchasing a longer-term bundle.

Weekly data plans

Weekly bundles provide data for a longer period and can be suitable for moderate internet users.

Monthly data plans

Monthly bundles are designed for subscribers who want data access over a longer period without repeatedly buying daily bundles.

Nightlife bundles

MTN also has Nightlife options for eligible subscribers who want to use data during the applicable nighttime period.

See our separate guide to the MTN Night Plan for the current subscription process and usage information.

How Much Is MTN Data?

MTN data prices depend on the particular bundle.

Instead of relying on an old price list, dial *312# and check the current options displayed on your line.

This is important because data prices, bundle sizes and promotional offers can change.

After buying a bundle, you can check your remaining data balance by dialing:
