You can check your WAEC 2026 result by visiting the official WAECDirect portal (www.waecdirect.org) with your unique examination details and a valid scratch card, or by sending a formatted SMS to a designated shortcode.

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has made the process of checking results quite straightforward over the years, evolving with technology to ensure students have multiple reliable options. Whether you prefer the internet or a quick text message, getting your hands on those grades is just a few steps away. Remember that nail-biting anticipation? I certainly do! The key is to be prepared with the right information and method.

How to Check Your WAEC Result Online (WAECDirect Portal)

This is arguably the most popular and recommended method for checking your WAEC result. The WAECDirect portal is robust and provides a comprehensive view of your performance.

Step-by-Step Guide:

Acquire a WAEC Scratch Card: Before you begin, ensure you have a valid WAEC scratch card. These are typically sold at WAEC offices, accredited vendors, or post offices nationwide. Each card contains a unique Serial Number and a Personal Identification Number (PIN).

Visit the Official Portal: Open your web browser and navigate to the official WAEC result checker portal: www.waecdirect.org . Be wary of unofficial sites; always confirm the URL.

Enter Required Information: On the portal, you will be prompted to enter the following details: Examination Number: Your 10-digit WAEC Examination Number (e.g., 4123456789).

Examination Year: Select '2026' from the dropdown menu.

Type of Examination: Choose 'May/June WASSCE' or 'Nov/Dec WASSCE' as applicable.

Scratch Card Serial Number: Enter the Serial Number found on your scratch card.

Scratch Card PIN: Input the 12-digit PIN from your scratch card.

Click 'Submit': Double-check all entered information for accuracy. Once confirmed, click the 'Submit' button.
